There’s nothing quite like entering the first few days of life and documenting it. Those days are exhilarating and exhausting. The world is turned upside down as you find a new rhythm to life with each other. It’s a beautiful thing that I think is remembered best through photographs. The days and nights blend together and your baby grows so quickly it can be hard to find time to shower, let alone get your own camera out and document. I find it a privilege to witness some of those first days and capture the love your family shares.

At the beginning of January I photographed Brynne as a newborn. She was the sweetest little babe and honestly the easiest I’ve ever worked with. These parents clearly have a secret not shared with the rest of us. It was wonderful to slow things down and document this time. I look forward capturing more moments of little Brynne as I’ll be photographing her two more times as part of my first year collection.
