Lakefront Skaneateles Wedding

This Lakefront Skaneateles wedding was everything you want in summer soireé, including the cutest little dachshund.

This Lakefront Skaneateles wedding was everything you want in summer soireé, including the cutest little dachshund. Brittany + Brian have one of the best love stories. They grew up together, rode the school bus together and even slow danced in middle school together. Years later, they realized that they were meant to be together.

Lakefront Skaneateles Wedding at the Country Club

Held in late August, their wedding day was hot but the lakeside breeze kept guests comfortable and refreshed. Champagne and gift baskets filled with local goodies greeted guests as they headed down to the ceremony space. Hosting a large wedding of nearly 200 people, Brittany + Brian included plenty of opportunities for settling in and mingling.

Including your dog in your wedding day

It’s easy to do when you have a relaxed lakefront wedding

As a graphic designer, creating a brand for their day came easily to Brian. Crisp black custom signage started with the couple’s “B + B” logo. Personalization carried through the welcome sign, table cards, table numbers, water colored cocktail signs, even the larger than life seating chart. Additionally, Brian painted a portrait of their dog for the signature cocktails.

The reception highlighted the country club’s classic beauty. Her mom and planner, Tammy Taylor, helped bring Brittany’s romantic vision to life with candlelight and tablescapes including antique Baldwin candlesticks. Brittany + Brian wanted to look back on their wedding and instantly feel nostalgic. The way they felt looking at their parents’ and grandparents’ wedding photos. Brittany was given a 1968 Baby Blue Buick Skylark convertible from her Papa the day she was born. Brittany’s father and family friends helped restore it, and brought it back to it’s glory for this day.

Gluten Free Wedding Cake in Upstate NY

As the sun began to set, dinner concluded and the party began. Dancing was a big priority for Brittany + Brian. They had taken dance lessons so they had a plan for their first dance. It was one of the most memorable parts of preparing for the wedding. Once Brittany + Brian made it to the dance floor, they could barely be pulled away. A brief intermission to cut their delicious gluten free cake by The Cake Shop CNY was the only break they took during the night. Surrounded by guests from near and far, this was a party that made you never want to leave.
