Proposing at Mirror Lake Inn is one of the easiest ways to get engaged in Lake Placid. The resort caters to couples visiting, and has some beautiful lakeside suites. Right on Mirror Lake they have a dock with easy access to the water and views of the High Peaks.
Nick decided to surprise his then girlfriend Kim with a trip. She had plans with her sister, but after faking sickness the weekend became free. Nick suggested they return to the Adirondacks, a place they loved after time at the AuSable Club.

On a perfect summer day, Nick took Kim out to the dock on Mirror Lake. The sun was shining, and the water was calm and clear. Little did Kim know that I was waiting to capture the special moment with my camera.
As they strolled along the dock, Nick stopped suddenly and got down on one knee, pulling out a beautiful diamond ring from his pocket. Overjoyed, Kim nodded her head with tears in her eyes.
From then on, we created laid back yet editorial images that captured the beauty of the occasion. As a destination wedding photographer, I feel lucky to call Saranac Lake + Lake Placid home. So many people visit this place and I love learning their stories.
The next day, Nick surprised Kim again by inviting their families to join them for a surprise lunch and day together in the mountains. The whole weekend was magical. Proposing at Mirror Lake Inn on a beautiful summer day was the perfect start to their journey towards a lifetime of happiness together.
