They came back for their Cazenovia wedding, and with the nautical feel of white, navy and pink & stripes they were married in the most beautiful way. They were always welcomed home with signs and celebration and this time would be no exception. Ashley and Parker had both explored many places and established NYC as their base, but tucked into the finger lakes, just south of Syracuse, lies Cazenovia and holds a special place in their heart. At the Cazenovia Tennis Club Ashley’s grandparents were married and right inside the club is a picture of her grandmother throwing her bouquet off the balcony. Her family has roots there and it will always feel like home.

With clouds in the sky the day began over mimosas and exchanging gifts, and soon Ashley slipped into her sleek Vera Wang wedding dress. With her sisters and mom looking on, she met Parker to see him for the first time and begin their wedding day together. Had they not included a first look, we probably would not have been able to capture any images without rain. It started thirty minutes into the first look and did not stop for the rest of the day. Most brides would have been beside themselves, but it did not phase Ashley. Yes, it changed some plans and everyone would have loved for no rain, but people celebrated just a joyfully and Ashley and Parker left just as married as anyone on a wedding day. I have to applaud the way they handled it and once you see their reception you’ll understand a little more about these two.

Thank you so much for inviting me to document the day! I loved wearing my red rain boots and photographing everything for you guys along with KAT (can’t wait for her wedding, which will be planned 90% off of yours)! Ashley and Parker you know how to laugh and that will serve you well in marriage and life – as you already know. Cheers to many happy years together and enjoy looking back on a few of my favorites from the day.
