The simplest of moments can speak the loudest. Holding hands, a kiss on the shoulder, looking at each other and letting everything else melt away… I could go on. I love to photograph those moments, therefore I invite people into that kind of space. We used two buffalo engagement session locations for this shoot – the Buffalo History Museum and Hotel Lafayette.
Rachael traveled the world this winter with Lehrer Dance, the Buffalo modern dance company she is a part of. As a result she and Steve wanted to keep it simple for this session. While simple can be the hardest to plan in the end it came together perfectly. We met and the Hotel Lafayette to enjoy some coffee from Public Espresso and went from there. Using interior spaces where we could shoot on our own allowed us to ease into creating images, and I love what we captured.
We went outside for part two of our session, at the Buffalo Natural History Museum. We both agreed to capture the beautiful architecture of the city without making it overly obviously where we were. The museum was perfect for that.
