The Bowery Hotel in Manhattan’s lower east side has a remarkable space. It is full of windows and natural light, opening to a beautiful terrace and subsequent views, and it has an enclosed room with a space that feels all together intimate. I came to photograph the rehearsal dinner of Peter and Jessica and reunite with the family I first met at Liz + Ned’s wedding.

If you are wondering whether rehearsal dinners are typically photographed, in a case like this I would obviously say yes! They are filled with intimate moments, greeting family and friends who just arrived in town and toasting the night away. In addition to designing the wedding day, the rehearsal dinner was planned by Jes Gordon and was the perfect mix of elegance and fun. The tables were adorned with delicate flowers including an impressive tree peony which you will see in the images below. The terrace and interior hosted guests during cocktail hour, and everyone sat down in the intimate dining room for an amazing family style meal.
