wedding-detail-layflat-film-fineartTheir happiness is contagious. I think that’s how love is suppose to be. It should spill out and effect everyone around you, inviting them to see the world through your eyes and share your joy. Erin and Will’s Buffalo Indie Wedding was like that.

It didn’t matter that Erin had lost her voice, because like she embodied (like many times before) the old adage “the show must go on.” However this wasn’t a show, it was real life. This love that she and Will found and grew was tangible. While surrounded by those closest to them, this group of actors, performers and artists celebrated the way you would expect them to. There was no holding back the happiness, no shying away from the camera, no trying to conceal their emotions. It was refreshing to be with a group of people who wanted to simply celebrate and share how they felt about this couple.

The only uncertainty in the day was with the weather, typical for Buffalo. It warned to be unrelentingly rainy and yet it was incomprehensibly clear. Instead we saw the wind in every step we took and I loved that it’s presence made our images even more alive. It seemed to visually display the passion to which this couple brings to life.

Erin and Will’s Buffalo Indie Wedding was thoughtfully planned and beautifully prepared. They chose local designers, expert craftspeople and detailed artists to be a part of their day and the list is impressive.

It was really cold, but as is the case with photographs it was totally worth it. When asked to make a split decision of – should we go to Tifft Nature Preserve for wedding photos or just stay here? I said absolutely we should go. I love to make that call and encourage people to trust that what we are doing is going to create something you will never forget.

A classic Cape Cod wedding never goes out of style, especially at the Kittansett Club.

A Chautauqua wedding is stunning no matter the size. Karen and Walker pivoted to host the most amazing micro wedding at this historic American retreat.
