We did it! We managed to train and race in a triathlon with a baby. While we’ve both completed many (well, if you know Matt that’s an understatement) on our own, kids just change everything. It was hard to find time to train, to stay motivated, etc… but I’m so glad we stuck with it. […]

We did it! We managed to train and race in a triathlon with a baby. While we’ve both completed many (well, if you know Matt that’s an understatement) on our own, kids just change everything. It was hard to find time to train, to stay motivated, etc… but I’m so glad we stuck with it. The musselman triathlon was just a few weeks ago, and it continues to be one of our favorite races.  We made a weekend out of it – I raced on Saturday and Matt on Sunday – and family even came out to take in the events and cheer us on.

Now if you are like my family you might be asking “how long do you have to go?” “can the order be switched up?” “is what you are doing a triathlon?” – which are all valid questions. Triathlon is confusing to many people because they think of an ironman first when you say what you are doing. However, racing a triathlon is similar to saying “I’m doing a road race” and the next question should be “what distance?” There are standard distances – the sprint being the shortest and easiest to start with for your first – and what I did this year at the Musselman. We’re ready to sign up for next year, and you should too! Hope to see you there

A classic Cape Cod wedding never goes out of style, especially at the Kittansett Club.

A Chautauqua wedding is stunning no matter the size. Karen and Walker pivoted to host the most amazing micro wedding at this historic American retreat.
