Last month was crazy. I mean it. Crazy. If you talk to me on a regular basis you have heard some of these stories, but if not they include : getting food poisoning at a wedding, backing into a car after leaving a wedding, being up late with a crying baby for at least a week, being up late while trying to enjoy work/vacation with a crying baby, driving 7 hours with a sick baby, finding your baby with a fever and then rash that is a virus called 5th’s disease (if it’s a virus why is it called a disease?) and others. So, if I post images of scones, flowers and playing with my daughter on the porch just know it’s not the whole story and yes I’m doing lots of work.

It’s a good thing I live out by the alpacas. I drive by cows, horses, sheep  – and yes alpacas  – regularly. In large part that is because I have to do a lot of driving to get anywhere, but it’s a different world out here in the country and one that has suited me. It begs me to stop and slow, consider my surroundings and live more thoughtfully.

I have been writing goal posts for a few months now and I have been accomplishing a lot, but not necessarily achieving everything on my list. I’m realizing I need to make time to accomplish those goals, and I need to keep them in view besides this blog post. So this month I’m carrying over the things I have not finished, and making time to achieve each and giving myself deadlines to do so.

  • continue to work on a morning routine (to bed by 10:30 + up by 6) by July 1 not happening! help
  • workout 5x a week starting now consistent with at least 4 usually 5 days a week
  • have a family adventure one day a month went to the Pittsburgh Zoo on fathers day!
  • sell 4 framed prints from my pop up (post by the end of the week!) three have been claimed!
  • take a sabbath (+unplug for at least 8 hours) by July 1 – did that last Sunday, need to be consistent
  • cook one new recipe by July 1
  • begin Olya‘s internship – canceled
  • stick with my blog schedule and post 4x a week

A classic Cape Cod wedding never goes out of style, especially at the Kittansett Club.

A Chautauqua wedding is stunning no matter the size. Karen and Walker pivoted to host the most amazing micro wedding at this historic American retreat.
