Inns of Aurora Wedding Weekend

This Inns of Aurora wedding weekend was a finger lakes retreat. The bride wore Monique Lhullier and Cult Gaia.

This Inns of Aurora wedding weekend was a retreat for everyone who flew in to enjoy the finger lakes. Aurora, and nearby Ithaca, hold so much of Nadia + J’s love story since meeting at Cornell.

It was a serendipitous trip over spring break that really brought them together. Mistakenly, Nadia’s sorority and J’s football team ended up traveling to the same condo of a mutual friend in Miami.

After the initial shock, they realized they could make their stay work and had the most memorable – and strictly platonic! – spring break. It was this time together that set the foundation for Nadia + J’s friendship, and set the course for their relationship.

When it came to their wedding, it was important to bring family from Colorado and Maryland to really enjoy a weekend in the place they fell in love. Nadia + J wanted their friends and family to experience and appreciate the fullness of what the region is to them and how it’s shaped who they are as a couple. The invitation suite created by Blonde + Brindle gave each guest a perfect glimpse at what was to come.

Aurora is such a beautiful town, with the Inns of Aurora at the center of it. Carefully curated, blending art and history, it is a hidden gem – but it has received the praise it deserves with a Travel + Leisure Best Resort in New York award.

The Stone House | Aurora, New York Private Venue

The weekend started off at The Stone House, a private home and airbnb in Aurora, with an intimate dinner and a welcome party for all of the guests. Everyone mingled, played games and watched a slideshow with more than enough childhood photos. It was incredible to see Nadia + J as middle schoolers – living totally different, awkward lives in opposite parts of the country – and take stock of how their stories ended up intertwining in the most unexpected way.

Getting ready at Inns of Aurora

On the wedding day, Beautini joined Nadia as she had the best time getting ready with her girls. They used the Gratitude suite at Inns of Aurora for hair and makeup. As a result their suite was clean and ready for photos and getting ready.

Her friends have been there through it all, and they danced and laughed before getting all dressed up. Nadia found her Monique Lhullier dress in Denver, and it was everything she wanted. When Nadia put it on her mom gave Naida a look that gave her all the confidence she needed. Everyone was convinced – Nadia found the perfect one that embodied everything she wanted to look and feel on her wedding day.

While the girls got ready upstairs, J was downstairs with his guys.  The couple had a quick first look then met everyone and got the day started. After more than a year of planning, it was so satisfying to see all of the details come together. A stunning floral arch by In Bloom Florals stood by the lakeside for the ceremony. Nadia’s bouquet featured coral, peach and muted pink tones. Joyful energy was abundant through the enthusiastic cheering throughout the ceremony.

Couples prefer Private Cake Cuttings

The most memorable speeches came from family and friends. A few tears were shed as parents and friends took turns. The couple had a private cake cutting with their Scratch Bakery cake and accompanied the endless energy on the dance floor. The day transported everyone. Nadia + J were so grateful to be able to create a moment for all of their joy to live on full display with the most important people in their lives.

A classic Cape Cod wedding never goes out of style, especially at the Kittansett Club.

A Chautauqua wedding is stunning no matter the size. Karen and Walker pivoted to host the most amazing micro wedding at this historic American retreat.
