It wasn’t just any day in Philadelphia for a Fairmount Park Horticulture Wedding. It was perfect timing, as the cherry blossoms arrive in early April – before they were expected – and the weather was a bit of summer in spring. The open interior of the Horticulture Center invites everyone to bask in the warmth of light and love… and really, can it get better than that for a wedding day?
It was hard to believe that years ago they were growing up in the same home town in Maryland. However, their proximity then did not bring them together. It was when they moved away, both to Philadelphia, that they crossed paths when Amber lived with Sean’s cousin. It didn’t take long after they first met for their relationship to begin.
Love start like that… unexpectedly and not always when you thing it will. Often times that is when it grows into something most beautiful.

I love the architecture and history in the city and was so inspired by even looking up. Documenting a place to give a sense of where we are is something I strive to do on a wedding day.
At the beautiful Hotel Monaco, right across from the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall, they prepared for the day. Sitting down to read the letters they had both written to each other, there was a moment of realization as to the enormity of the day. It was finally here, and they couldn’t have been more ready to say “I do.”
