Some days are filled with so much emotion they feel like you’ve lived a whole year. The experience lasts and is embedded in your memory, growing sweeter with each recollection. This was one of those days.
Traveling from Brooklyn, Erin and Sal were married in an intimate backyard wedding in Buffalo, New York. It was perfectly planned and unscripted, thoughtful yet not overbearing, and emotional in the best kind of way. You could tell their love was real and present and it was a joy to be there on that day. Blush pink, cream and neutral tones adorned the bride’s side while the groom’s side looked dapper in gray suits and navy ties. Bright pops of color in yellow, pink and coral filled the bouquets and boutineers. Guests mingled in the front and back yards and sat at long tables for family style dining and close conversation. Everyone danced the night away and were treated to some of Buffalo’s favorite wings as the night drew to a close.
I think I said good bye to Erin and Sal about five different times before I actually left. I had so much fun photographing, celebrating and even dancing at their wedding and just didn’t want it to end. Thank you again for inviting me to create a collection of images from your day and here are a few of my favorites!
Erin and Sal met while working at a creative firm in Brooklyn, but they didn’t stay there long. Not long after their relationship began they started to pursue bigger things. Some of the things they did together and individually include growing the blog and podcast Feminist Wednesday, played shows and recording with Sal’s band No Nets, getting a haircut, lauching a kickstarter campaign, and perhaps the biggest accomplishment is Erin’s journey to create her first full length feature film : Dream, Girl.
I love their style. Erin’s ring? an inverted diamond, a TAP by Todd Pownell original.
they guys got ready, as they usually do…
