Yesterday we said goodbye. After spending a semester interning with me Savannah graduated and is on to bigger and better things. Can I tell you about how amazing it was to have her help me? Sure, all interns require training but not all are as flexible and hardworking. This semester required the most flexibility of all, since I had a baby. She got a taste of everything I do, 75% of which does not involve taking pictures and is relatively unglamourous. In fact the only glamorous part of my job is probably making you look amazing in the photos I take.

I’m so grateful to have had interns that I know well and trust – which has been a result of living near and being connected to a college. When we do move away from here that’s one thing I know I’ll miss. I made these brown butter waffles for breakfast yesterday and you should try them too.
