Meg + Drew reached out after selecting Yahnundasis Golf Club, one of the most beautiful of Utica NY wedding venues. As a New York wedding photographer, I travel often throughout this state but this was my first wedding at the club. I love documenting in new spaces and having the opportunity to work with couples who inspire me to create. Meg + Drew invited people to join this stately venue for a evening of celebration, dinner and most of all dancing.

Inviting people home to Utica NY wedding venues

As I listened in on the speeches at the rehearsal dinner, it was clear that they not only had built a great relationship, but a great community. The family and friends surrounding and supporting them is what made this day even more meaningful. It was an honor to enter their world and document those relationships to be celebrated forever.

Beginning at St. Bonaventure University, Meg and Drew started to fall in love. They pursued careers and settled in Rochester New York before getting engaged. Home is Utica NY, and the perfect place to celebrate their lives joining with the people that matter most.

One of the most personal aspects of this wedding was selecting the right dress. To do so, Meg turned to her good friend Kendra (and manager of Silk Bridal). She found the right dress before any were even tried any on. While she tried on a few dresses ultimately Meg chose Kendra’s pick : a perfectly elegant Pronovia’s dress with off the sholder sleeve and a detachable cape train.

After getting ready the first look took place in the backyard, with plenty of greenery and beautiful light.

With pictures finished and plenty of time to join cocktail hour, Meg + Drew started the party. Candle light led the way in to the club and a mirror had custom calligraphy for the seating chart.

A classic Cape Cod wedding never goes out of style, especially at the Kittansett Club.

A Chautauqua wedding is stunning no matter the size. Karen and Walker pivoted to host the most amazing micro wedding at this historic American retreat.
