We are finally recovering from a week of sickness. Yes, a whole week. Isn’t that crazy? When it’s a bad enough bug it spreads through the whole family, and RSV is a bad enough bug. Daphne picked up at the doctor during Dax’s two month check up, soon Matt and I were sick and Dax followed right behind. We washed our hands so much once we knew Daph had it that they were basically raw, but it didn’t keep the germs at bay. When one person is sick it can be contained but when the whole family is sick you just start playing despicable me II non stop and try and keep your sanity.
So I took a few personal days; thankfully I have enough to last the rest of the year.
You know how each time you get really sick you reach a point where you feel like you just don’t know if you will get better? Or you can’t remember what it was like to not be sick? I reached that point Saturday and shortly after discovered I had a contact lens still in my eye…while also wearing glasses. No wonder everything was looking strange.
The germ fog has started to lift and we are almost all healthy enough to go to the playground and pick up more germs. Hooray!
