If you’re like me the camera you have with you most often is on your phone. It travels easily, is small and compact, and allows you to quickly document and share photos. The photos are necessarily the best quality, but when all I want to do is document where I am, who I’m with, what I’m doing it’s perfect. In doing so I’ve amassed quite a collection of phone photos over the past 2+ years on my blackberry. I’m thinking about making them into a small album – something like this small square book from blurb – since they contain so many pieces of personal history.
Well yesterday our iphones arrived. My world was rocked as the blackberry curve I had been holding on to until the iphone came to verizon really doesn’t compare. I went to work dismantling everything on my old phone, backing up contacts and taking off pictures, and this led me to looking through my collection of phone photos. I wanted to share a sampling with you – they cover everything from moving to Virginia and back to New York, the arrival of both my niece and nephew, and my most photographed subjects: food + my dogs. I can’t wait to capture my next collection of phone photos and I know they will have a new look since there is so much more you can do with the camera on the iphone. For now, it’s the end of an era and hope you enjoy this look into my life.
