Traveling to capture Philadelphia engagement photos for Amber and Sean was one of my travel highlights of August. The trip was quick but it was so incredibly worth it to document them in this city they now call home. I love walking the streets of a city to document it’s character and incorporate it into pictures. We certainly did so for Amber and Sean, using a variety of Philadelphia photo locations including an ivy wall, a nearby park and ending at the old stock exchange building. Oh, I forgot to mention we started in their apartment, which had the most gorgeous window light and offered a reprieve from the 95+ temperatures outside.
I actually met Amber and Sean a few years earlier, while wandering the streets of Philadelphia for another engagement session. Amber and Sean came along for their good friends Lauren and Joe’sĀ engagement and took care of their beloved dog who made an appearance in a few of the shots. (you can bring your dog too!) I love seeing my past couples again, and working with a growing network of friends that includes them. While capturing these ivy wall photos I stepped in and out of traffic. One bus came barreling down the street and I learned later that Lauren was on it riding home from work and banging on the windows to get our attention! I can not wait to go back to Philadelphia this spring to document their gorgeous wedding at the Horticultural Center. I hope you enjoy a few of my favorite images – shot both digitally + on film – and I would love to hear what you think!
the stock exchange building was gorgeous – and of course I love some bright backgrounds and beautiful architecture for engagement photos
Amber you are stunning!
