Lexi & Jasper. I work from home so my dogs are my co-workers, if I can even say that. They have yet to really contribute to Mary Dougherty Photography although they do take good pictures every once in a while. Maybe I should go William Wegman on them and start a life long collaboration with them as my subjects… On second thought I’m having a hard enough time training Jasper to go to the bathroom outside, I doubt I could illicit obedient behavior after dressing them up and placing them in elaborate sets – but if I do, you’ll see it here first. :)

Lexi & Jasper are both mini dachshunds although they have completely different coloring. Jasper’s coat + coloring is apparently what you call a piebald, and after a quick read over here about dachshund patterns and colors my conclusion is that he is cute.

Jasper and Lexi are friends and their favorite activity is curling up in front of the fire to sleep. Their second favorite activity is playing, usually started by Jasper with a friendly chomp. Thankfully he hasn’t destroyed anything yet, but I’m sure he will. Don’t let that innocent face fool you!
