NEW YORK + DESTINATION

it’s go time.

I wouldn’t blame you if you forgot, and if you looked at my training you might have thought I did, but in less than three weeks I’m competing in a half ironman. I know. I don’t know what I was thinking. It seems like this summer has been busy for everyone – between those people […]

I wouldn’t blame you if you forgot, and if you looked at my training you might have thought I did, but in less than three weeks I’m competing in a half ironman. I know. I don’t know what I was thinking. It seems like this summer has been busy for everyone – between those people planning weddings, having babies, and traveling back and forth to spend time with friends and family there is always something going on. When you’re trying to train in the midst of that it can be really hard to do. I knew it would be hard, but I decided to go for it anyways and not only have the incentive of a race to keep me on my toes but to work for and accomplish. The past two summers have been so full of weddings (and moving) that I’ve pushed triathlons to the side and it was time to put an end to that. So, despite insufficient training and a few doubts I look forward to the challenge and will do my best to complete or at least survive. I know I’m not the only one training for something so I’d love to hear when you’re racing and be motivated by the workouts you’re doing. On that note, I need to go for a bike ride, which in the country looks a little something like what you see in the pictures above!

A classic Cape Cod wedding never goes out of style, especially at the Kittansett Club.

A Chautauqua wedding is stunning no matter the size. Karen and Walker pivoted to host the most amazing micro wedding at this historic American retreat.
