The sleepy town of Brattleboro was the perfect location for this Vermont fall wedding. Jenn and Bobby had visited for years, skiing at Mt. Snow. Trips from Boston were frequent as their relationship grew. Once engaged, they stumbled upon Farm Road Estate and knew it was a perfect fit. Not only is the venue picturesque, it was completely customizable.
Vermont Fall Wedding with Jewel Tones
With wedding planners EMRG Events, the elegant tented wedding came together. The Southern Vermont wedding venue delivered, including perfect October weather.
Lynn Graham Designs created an entire suite of paper goods. Guests opened french blue and floral invitations.
Bramble and Bloom tied the color palette together with a range of florals. Apricot and blush ranunculus, secret garden roses, burgundy dahlias and pistachio foliage flowed from the table. Tables were set with stunning goblets and custom linens in jewel tones. The bride’s bouquet was a simple bundle of Larkspur White. It was a classic Lily of the Valley bouquet adapted for fall. The Monique Lhuillier gown, from L’elite Bridal in Boston, took center stage. Bridesmaids wore dusty mauve long gowns.
Vermont Tent Wedding Venues with Lodging
Jenn + Bobby valued having family and friends stay on property. This was possible with the variety of rooms, cottages and homes on site. Wedding preparation began for the bridal party in their respective houses. Choosing not to do a first look, Jenn + Bobby wrote letters to each other. They read each, teary eyed, on the morning of their wedding.
St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Brattleboro held the ceremony and featured musicians from the local Vermont orchestra. Cocktail hour followed at the Estate, with custom drinks: spicy margaritas, manhattans, and espresso martinis.
Boston and Vermont Wedding Details
The details continued throughout the reception. Every place setting held a unique, artisanal chocolate from Tavernier Chocolates in Brattleboro. The chocolate shop uses local, seasonal ingredients. Maple nuggets, Vermont foraged wild peppermint and spruce are included. Garlands wrapped the tent poles and floral elements adorned the bride and groom’s chairs.
Fall Wedding Dessert
Sweet Surrender VT, made the wedding cake. Jenn’s parents delivered 15 apple pies from an orchard near their house. Dessert was delicious and personal.
The wedding band was led by a close friend. The guitarist went to high school with Bobby. The music was incredible and packed the dance floor for hours. An after party with local singer, Bruce Jacques, carried the celebration through until sunrise. The experience was unforgettable.
