September was not about to succumb to fall on the first weekend of the year, and it was the perfect time for an Eastman House garden wedding. From the time we walked in to witness Jen’s hair being tied back into an elegant waist length braid, to the end of the night celebrating with sparklers on the deck of La Luna Restaurant, overlooking High Falls, Jen + Matt’s day was packed with artistic and hand crafted details. Their talents are varied and wide reaching, having met through their work at Wild Wings and Matt’s shared love of bicycles to their vegan lifestyle and artistic passions (Jen is an artist and glassblower at More Fire Glass Studio). When it came to planning their wedding, Jen + Matt enlisted their large network of talented friends and chose unique and authentic pieces to use for their wedding day. From the flower arrangements, table decor, wedding rings, tie clip, and cuff links they created a style all their own.
It was a brilliant summer day in the lush gardens of the George Eastman House. Their day was filled with genuine love from friends and family, fantastic locations and a night of vegan food, drinks, and dancing to remember. I so enjoyed being there to document the day through film and digital images and help them tell the story of their wedding. It’s one thing to plan for a year or more and it’s quite another to tell that story for 50+ more years. Capturing details, emotions, candids and portraits of the events that unfolded is something that I love to do, so see a few of my favorites and I hope you enjoy!
