This post dives in to workshop reviews left by attendees. I don’t know about you, but I love to peek behind the curtain. Give me all the tell all, bts, extra footage you want. I’m here for it. If you want to see the images we created, head to this post.

Adirondack Wedding Workshop

The Adirondack Wedding Workshop is a yearly retreat with the best mountain wedding content in the northeast and transformative coaching to grow your business. It is hosted by Mary Dougherty, a year round resident of the Adirondacks and award winning film photographer.

Using her connections she creates a memorable intimate wedding for attendees to photograph. However, the goal is not just content creation, but growth for your business. Sharing the tools that have led to her success in the past 12 years, attendees walk away with actionable steps to increase bookings + profit, reach their dream clients, develop meaningful relationships and more.

While all attendees have experience in photography, those in attendance varied from just starting their business to 10 years in. Everyone gained something and had more life breathed into their business. Sometimes creative burnout, overwhelm or distraction can keep you from achieving your next goal or even identifying it. Spending time in a group of like minded people immersed in nature will do wonders for your clarity.

Workshop Reviews

“I knew it was going to be a beautiful setting, but was also hoping the experience would be meaningful and creative.

It turned out to be so much more!

It was so inspiring, stimulating and eye-opening in many ways. The space and the flow you have created for the photographers to be and practice their craft was very inviting and organic. There were plenty of opportunities for hands-on and also great talking sessions that I have found to be very valuable. Thank you!

” Before the workshop I felt burnt out and lacked confidence. After I had confidence to pursue my business in a more meaningful direction. I went home and booked a wedding with my ideal client!

Through Mary’s attention to detail and thoughtful aesthetic, you feel like you’re in the middle of a real intimate wedding.”

“Being in the wedding photography world can feel like an uphill battle that you are facing alone most days. This workshop gave me an opportunity to connect and meet other creatives and photographers that I could share ideas and dreams with. Not only was the workshop well thought out and beautifully designed but it was so much more than that. We had the space to be creative while also learning from Mary and each other.”

“I had an amazing one of a kind photography experience in the ADK.

Before I came I was unsure about my future photography business but I left confident and with clear steps of what I need to conquer first.

The conversations were incredibly helpful for me to learn about my target client, my why, marketing because this is what I need help with… but the photo shoots were EPIC!”

Why did you start the Adirondack Wedding Workshop?

I love where I live. It’s a hidden gem that I want to introduce you to, and dreaming up the best wedding story to photograph together is one way I do so. Nature has a way of giving us what we need, and I think the more time we spend in it the better off we all are.

As a photographer with 12 years in the industry, I know the mistakes I have made and would love to coach you so you don’t have to. I know the fear that comes from showing up when you don’t feel ready; the challenge of balancing running a business with raising a family (I have three kids); the struggle to believe in yourself when it seems like everyone else is already doing what you want to do.

The good news is you have what it takes. I know that because if you read through all of this you are ready to invest in yourself and your business. I hope you enjoyed these workshop reviews. Sign up for the workshop or reach out to talk about one on one coaching today!

A classic Cape Cod wedding never goes out of style, especially at the Kittansett Club.

A Chautauqua wedding is stunning no matter the size. Karen and Walker pivoted to host the most amazing micro wedding at this historic American retreat.
