Join Mary Dougherty and an intimate group of photographers this August 12-14 to photograph a wedding weekend in Saranac Lake. Situated deep in the Adirondack Park and surrounded by mountains and lakes, it is the ideal place to escape the city and immerse yourself in nature.
Over three days and two nights we will photograph three scenes - welcome dinner, ceremony + brunch. While you may be paid well to shoot weddings, you have not had the opportunity to photograph an event like this. We want you to be inspired, give you an outdoor experience and allow you to capture images of a refined elegant couple in the outdoors.
Saranac Lake is 2 hours from Burlington, VT / 2.5 from Albany, NY / 3 hours from Syracuse NY / 5.5 hours from Boston

I have spent the last 11 years photographing 215+ weddings. I have been featured in Martha Stewart, Once Wed, Style Me Pretty and more and was voted Belle Lumière 2018 BW Image of the Year. I grew up outside of Detroit and traded that for mountains and lakes, which led us to the Adirondacks.
Living here means less distractions and more chance for reflection and inspiration. Sharing this place with other people is a true joy and I would love to invite you to photograph an intimate wedding weekend with me.
We will be working with a couple that has chemistry and is comfortable together.
We will tell a complete story by documenting more than just a portrait session or ceremony scene.
HOW TO SHOOT HYBRID
Mary will share her system for shooting hybrid on a wedding day and help you where ever you are on your film + photography journey. You do not have to shoot film in order to come.
The group of people I'm looking to bring together is interested not only in their own success, but the success of others. Learn from each other over this three day period and invest in each other after.
