Megan’s email popped up in my inbox late one night and explained that she had been following my work for some time. Although she wasn’t engaged she anticipated it coming and wanted to get some info so that she would be ready when the time came. Knowing how crazy the wedding world can be with pre-booking I totally understood and it’s always fun to be a part of secret planning.
Right off the bat I knew I was going to like Megan + Brian. Whenever someone contacts me before they are engaged and says they have been spending time on my blog and getting to know my work I know they will be a perfect fit. Megan had done her research, and it turns out we have several things in common… among other things they include: a love of photography, running track in college, faith, and oddly enough living in Virginia. So when I received another email from Megan announcing that she and Brian were officially engaged I couldn’t be happier for them and I was thankful to be available to document their wedding.
We began planning for their session at a time Megan and Brian would both be in the Rochester area and settled on Highland Park for our location. All parties had traveled involved. Brian came up from Virginia and Megan came over from Syracuse and their engagement session was the first stop in a long weekend trip to South Carolina for one of their best friend’s weddings. whew. I’m tired just thinking about that. Despite the flat tire I got on the way to their session, we had an absolutely great time shooting and I couldn’t be more excited to document their big day. Not only were they quick naturals in front of the camera but it was clear the chemistry is all back by a deep and sincere love for one another. Thanks Megan and Brian for making the session fun and I can’t wait to see you again in July!
