Troutbeck is a 250 acre Hudson Valley estate hotel. Home for centuries to naturalists, poets and romantics it is an ideal location for a spring wedding weekend. With a talented team of New York and Connecticut based vendors we planned an editorial that highlighted the venue in spring. Blue, violet, cream and gold accented the rich greens of the property in bloom.

Unique New York wedding venues with full property buyout
Chelsea Brooke Events envisioned an elevated outdoor dinner for this Troutbeck spring wedding. The landscape of Troutbeck is wild and natural – and it allowed us the freedom to create outside of traditional spring elements. Unexpected color pairings took center stage. The immense green of the property juxtaposed violet and gold. We sought to offer a new way to embrace this flower abundant season.

Colorful Wedding Dress from Leanne Marshall
The unexpected pairing of a silk gold Leanne Marshall dress with purple Manolo Blahnik shoes set the tone by our creative bride, a jewelry designer. Pairing it with the setting allowed us to have a more cohesive color palette that was elegant without being overly bridal. Sheer gloves from Everthine Bridal gave Briar a must have accessory that elevated her look. Julie Occhino Beauty gave Briar the perfect wave and enhanced her beauty with a fresh clean look.
Pull off this unexpected bridal look by searching for non-wedding dresses from designers you love. For the bride who does not need to be the center of attention all day long, this is our favorite way to let you subtly shine.

Fresh color palette for a Troutbeck Spring Wedding Editorial
The color palette centered around soft spring colors, favoring mauve, blue, violet and gold against a lush green backdrop.
Troutbeck hosts only a select number of weddings each year on its vast property. With newly completed guest houses adjacent to the main house, a luxury experience for a larger group awaits. A stone patio right off the ballroom is the perfect location for an outdoor dinner, where we set our table.

The ceremony was set up on the lawn. Florals seemingly grew naturally from the rock wall. The organic bouquet was filled with movement and delicate blooms. On the table, a velvet linen added contrast to the architecture of Troutbeck. Purple poppies stole the show over gold rimmed glasses and mauve linen napkins. A light and fresh floral design by Heart and Soil gave life and texture.
At the end of the night, we went in to the bar at Troutbeck for drinks and enjoyed the impeccably designed interiors.
