Valentines Day started by getting upset at each other. Matt had a meeting to get to, I had not worked on my blog the whole week, everyone has been a little bit off with their sleep lately, our favorite babysitter is moving away in a week, and I was walking around with a sense of things weighing me down. Once told Matt a little about how I felt he got upset for feeling like he wasn’t contributing enough. If there was one thing that was difficult for us this morning it was communication.

Ironic for a day that celebrates expressing love to one another. The thing about being in love is that it’s so much less about perfection and so much more about sacrifice. It teaches you to put others above yourself, to forgive and extend grace, and to find a way to express how you feel. I enjoy Valentines Day, because we all need a reminder to tell each other how we feel… but even if we don’t get it right today there’s always tomorrow.
