Syracuse Backyard Wedding

This Syracuse backyard wedding has all the fall colors you need to be inspired. Lisa & Ryan’s original celebration at The Frog Pond in Skaneateles was postponed. However, they celebrated with those closest to them and carried on the tradition of a backyard wedding. It was the exact place her parents had tied the knot years before.

It was special to see this day come to life. I photographed the weddings of Lisa’s brother and sister (they are triplets!) and her cousin. After seeing this family for the fourth and final wedding it was truly a celebration. I stayed for a few hours after I wrapped up shooting to have fun with everyone.

Take a look at this fall inspired day with rich colors and deep tones.

I love that backyard weddings allow the whole family to be involved – which of course means all the dogs! After getting ready at her sister’s house we made our way to the family home. The backyard was set for the ceremony under the trees, with socially distant chairs of course.

Bridesmaids chose their own dresses and happened to find the most magical combination of colors : mustard, burgundy, marine and emerald. How did I do at describing them?

With pictures taken before the guests arrived, we transitioned smoothly through the first look, portraits, bridal party before the ceremony. Afterwards cocktail hour took place on the law and guests moved into the tent for dinner and dancing.

It was the best kind of party – the one where everyone dances and no one wants to leave. With a fire roaring nearby the stars came out and the party moved outside.

It was the most memorable day and I loved being a part of it. Click here to see more Syracuse weddings.
