It was not the day Theresa + Jake were suppose to get engaged. It should have happened the day before. When they joined family down in cape may for a long weekend Theresa got so sunburned she could barely move or think of anything besides getting better. Jake had planned to take her on the beach and get down on one knee, but obstacles kept popping up. The house was locked, there were too many people at the beach, finally Theresa decided it was time to go back and apply more aloe. Jake joked about getting up the next morning for the sunrise, and although she was not sold on the idea Theresa was uncharacteristically up at dawn. They walked along the waters edge and gazed out over the ocean, and the next thing she knew Jake was down on one knee.
Their wedding took place a few weeks ago, and to say that the day was perfect sounds a bit over the top, but I honestly think for Theresa + Jake it was. They had around nine months to plan from their July engagement and did an amazing job. Their Pennsylvania barn wedding at Friedman Farms outside of Scranton, Pennsylvania was one for the record books. They invited their guests to taken in the gorgeous views, dance under twinkling lights and celebrate love like never before. This April day was warm and beautiful and I truly loved being able to document it. Of course, there are just a few images in this post so I invite all guests to take a look at their online gallery to see every last moment. Until then, here are a few of my favorites.
