It was delicious. We spent several days preparing, of course, and worked non-stop day of to pull off a whole thanksgiving meal. What did we make? Turkey – of course, mashed potatoes (which took over my plate as you can see), fresh cranberry relish, brussel sprouts with pancetta, cranberries and pine nuts, and chantrell mushroom and pear stuffing. For dessert, pumkin pie (made with egg nog) and pecan pie were the final sweet touch to the meal. It was a different thanksgiving making all of the food, but it was really fun to do and I’m glad we had family over to celebrate with us.

my cousin, Jack – loved the drumstick.
Well we’re all recovering from yesterdays indulgence, but we’ll probably work it off with a run and spend some time outside. We didn’t get to run a turkey trot yesterday since we were busy cooking, but kudos to those of you who did. Well I hope you all had a great holiday, and in the spirit of thanksgiving I wanted to let you know I’m thankful for all of you faithful blog readers, as well as my wonderful clients who I love to work for! hope you have a great weekend and look forward to hearing any thanksgiving stories.
