Due dates are tricky things. They rarely predict the actual day of birth and often bring a whole world of anticipation. It was actually for this reason that my sister somehow tried to trick the doctors into having a later due date – by one day. It worked, and so November 28th – today – was the due date for her baby to be born (the gender was a surprise). Something about trying to change her due date is so my sister, and I love it. Surprisingly, she had little John Paul “JP” on her predicted due date, whether it was right or not.

Early this morning he arrived in to the world and thankfully Matt and I were still in town to be able to visit him on his first day of life. It was an exciting and adventurous day especially since we took little Julia to meet her new baby brother. I can’t wait to be back over Christmas and see what he looks like and of course take some real baby pictures!

Congrats again to my sister and brother in law and little niece for the new addition to their family – I love being an aunt!
