What a weekend it was! I ended 2013 in Lake Placid and went back up to start this year with Gina and Manuel at both the Lake Placid Lodge and Whiteface Lodge. It was a winter wedding dream and I’m so excited to share more from their day. If every wedding goes just like theirs […]

marydougherty_photoWhat a weekend it was! I ended 2013 in Lake Placid and went back up to start this year with Gina and Manuel at both the Lake Placid Lodge and Whiteface Lodge. It was a winter wedding dream and I’m so excited to share more from their day. If every wedding goes just like theirs did I’ll be a happy photographer. They managed to keep things relaxed and stress free which is not an easy task. I’ll share more about that later, but it’s time to give you an update on my goals last month and write down what I have planned for this March.

To be honest, I did not do a great job at meeting my goals. They tried to keep me on track and to an extent helped me map my way through the month when I started to wander. However, I have a lot of half complete things and most of that is due to the addition of a huge project. I’m hosting birthday party / pop up gallery for current clients and friends. It will be a chance for many people to see my work in person and the finished pieces that I offer, all while having fun and celebrating the fact that I’m turning 30! I spent most of last month doing initial planning and now I have to get all of the pieces together to make the event successful. Half of the time I’m freaking out about how much there is to do and the other days I’m so excited about doing something big and getting friends together. Today is one of the freaking out days.

So, this month will largely center around getting ready for the pop up gallery but here are a few more things on my list…

Personal / Business Goals :

– get a pedicure

– finish last month’s goal of printing a personal album

– dance with a group of friends

– start the morning with time for prayer

– workout 3 times a week

– eat a bag of salt + vinegar chips

– finish all pieces for pop up gallery (this is a huge one)

– host successful event + enjoy it

– visit my family in Albuquerque

– update backup system for digital work

– read two books (Mr. Tiger Goes Wild + Peek a Who?)

A classic Cape Cod wedding never goes out of style, especially at the Kittansett Club.

A Chautauqua wedding is stunning no matter the size. Karen and Walker pivoted to host the most amazing micro wedding at this historic American retreat.
