A Kittansett club wedding was a dream of Molly’s. She grew up spending summers in Marion, surrounded by the sea and spending time with her family. Framed by cedar shake houses and the loveliest view of the Atlantic, Kittansett has a special place in the heart of all who visit. Molly was a planner, and while she could easily plan her wedding she could not have planned her love story. It was at Boston College that this girl from Pittsburgh met and fell in love with a boy from Houston.
It is rare to find a person that compliments you so well, and I know you two have found that in each other. Molly and Chris, I can begin to describe how much I enjoyed getting to know you both over the past year and documenting your wedding day, but that wouldn’t do it justice. I feel so honored to have been entrusted with the purpose of joining you in Massachusetts to capture the moments and emotions of the day. As everyone mentioned at the rehearsal dinner, you two lead by example and set the bar high in everything that you do. You invite others to do the same, and confidently support them in their effort. It may sound strange, but thank you for trusting me and welcoming me in to your lives in the past year. Enjoy looking back at your story through some of my favorite images, and of course I would love for you to share this post or leave a comment to let me know what you think.
Molly had the loveliest “Mrs” hanger for her wedding dress
While the girls got ready at Molly’s parents the guys gathered with guests outside the hotel and enjoyed lobster rolls from the Oxcart food truck they brought in.
One of my favorite ways to document an exit is usually done by my second shooter – from the balcony! I was so lucky to have the talented Heidi Vail Photography join me to document this day.
The beautiful view of the front of the Kittansett Club
Every seaside wedding needs a raw bar with the freshest seafood available at cocktail hour!
The Sperry Tent used at the Kittansett Club was so beautiful! There really aren’t other tents like it and it is the most elegant wedding tent available.
when the dance party is so good it starts to move outside in addition to in… that’s a good sign
What better way to end the night than with donuts? Of course, these weren’t just any donuts but Ma’s – a local favorite.
At the end of the night, the stars were bright and the sun had set leaving a beautiful blue and purple hue in the sky above. To view / share / purchase these images in the online gallery I invite you here and stay in touch by following me on facebook.
