Best friends notice it first. They see how time is spent elsewhere and start to see that a relationship is for real. That was the case with Karen and Brendan and it led them to their Historic Barns of Nipmoose Wedding. Just north of Albany, New York, where the hills are still rolling and farmland scatters the country side, the Nipmoose Barns make up a gorgeous venue that hosted the entire day… in fact, it might be one of my favorite barn venues out there.
At the White Oak House Karen and her bridesmaids assembled, pouring mimosas and curling hair until they slipped into their blush pink dresses and helped Karen with her own tiered lace gown. Everyone watched the weather carefully as it seemed like rain could come at a moment’s notice… however it held off until the start of the reception when everyone was safely inside. With the wind blowing and a beautifully cloudy sky, Karen and Brendan met at the barns and saw each other for the first time. It was an intimate moment all to themselves, where Karen gave Brendan a journal she had written in each day since they got engaged, to prove that she was in fact romantic. I can’t think of a better way to start your wedding day or show someone how much you care for them.
From there on the day unfolded beautifully. Some people are afraid to show emotion on their wedding day, as if tears will ruin a moment, others feel the pressure of a certain response and worry about their own reaction. The best wedding days, however, are like Karen + Brendan’s. They flow with ease and in the freedom of their relationship they laugh, cry, and celebrate and there was all of that and more on this day. Take a look at the beauty that took place and celebrate with these two amazing people once again!
