The last time I photographed Adam he graciously stood in an abandoned house as I snapped some images on film back in college. We go back to those days of avoiding work and having fun. Since then he moved to Pittsburgh for graduate school and there met Megan while working in the college bookstore. As the store goes, she was looking for books with her little dog Flea in her bag when Adam told her it was the cutest dog he had ever seen. While she was flattered, he still had to work hard to convince her to go out with him, and after several invites a first date turned into a second and it didn’t stop there.

We met for their engagement session at Hartwood Acres, and estate turned park on the outskirts of Pittsburgh. It’s a favorite location of Megan’s, who grew up nearby and spent many hours walking the trails and enjoying the gardens. While most cities have a similar type of park, once bequeathed by the owner, Hartwood Acres is in a league of it’s own. I had a great time photographing them while in Pittsburgh a few weeks ago and can’t wait to head back for their wedding this fall!

A classic Cape Cod wedding never goes out of style, especially at the Kittansett Club.

A Chautauqua wedding is stunning no matter the size. Karen and Walker pivoted to host the most amazing micro wedding at this historic American retreat.
