The time you spend with someone is even more important when you have a lot of time apart. Lisa and Eli are both career driven, dedicating time to their professions and without many breaks in between. This, however, was one of those rare days when they both had time off. It was important to me that their engagement session be enjoyable since we would be using some of that precious time. It was a date with the camera.

It was also my very first downtown Buffalo engagement session. For living so close to the city (well, close when you live in the country) I was surprised that it had not happened sooner. We settled on the Ellicott Square Building in downtown Buffalo to avoid the biting wind and bitter cold and found a sophisticated setting perfectly suited for them. Enjoy a look Lisa and Eli’s engagement and prepare yourself for even more amazingness to be captured at their Hotel Layfette wedding next year!
