It’s kind of hard to not fall in love with DC this time of year. What I know as summer they call spring, and being able to enjoy it so much earlier in the year is a treat. Spending time outside with friends taking pictures is just what I want to do. Pat and Faye are getting married this June and not only will I be photographing it, Matt will be in it as a groomsman. We can’t wait to celebrate with both of them.

My trip to the area couldn’t have been more well planned, as things are falling in to place and weather is looking beautiful for the photos yet to be shot and friends to be met. Pat and Faye were first on the list to be photographed and yesterday after a morning at church, eating at Ted’s Bulletin and walking through Eastern Market we headed to this nearby park. It didn’t seem like the right place at first, but as the light started to soften the grass stopped looking greener elsewhere. We talked, I joked, they laughed and soon everyone was at ease in front of the camera, just how an engagement session should be.
