It’s true. There are blue potatoes in the world, and they are just as delicious as white potatoes. Last night we enjoyed them as mashed potatoes, and today we had some in soup… yes it did not look as appetizing but it tasted great. So how did we get the potatoes? let me back track on the story.
This past weekend Matt + I were in the adirondacks for his induction into his highschool hall of fame. We were happy to make the trip to visit family+friends, enjoy eating at Morgan’s 11 (best wood-fired pizza), and run in the pumpkin muffin 5k which is where we won the potatoes as a race prize! These potatoes are the signature of the Tucker family farm, and have won numerous awards- so if you get the chance to try them, I encourage you to.
I also have to put this picture of Lexi up- she got her first sweater, and it came with a scarf (ha!) I feel kind of silly making her wear it, but she actually likes it cause it keeps her warm… still have to work on making her that vest.
So, I feel kind of bad putting this photo up- along with the fall picture below, because yesterday it looked nothing like this! We had our first snow and I hate to say it but it was the worst introduction to winter. I was on a long run with the xc team and we were out on the country roads where you’re totally unprotected from the wind… add in the snow that was borderline sleet and the wind that was howling so loud I think I had ear damage- I think you get the picture. Well I hope the weather is better where ever you are, and if you have to face winter you’re able to ease into it.
