You want a stunning portfolio, but even more you want a business you love. One that allows you to be creative and pays you for doing so. One that gives you time with your family. Join Mary Dougherty at the Adirondack Wedding Workshop and transform your business.
Five years into being a wedding photographer, pregnant with my first baby I realized I couldn't do things the same way. You know, 30 weddings a year and working non stop. I decided to change, and now I'm sharing my 12 years of experience with you.
This workshop invites you to learn how I transformed my business, and gives you the opportunity to create magic in the Adirondacks shooting alongside me.
I host this workshop in Saranac Lake / Lake Placid / Keene area of the Adirondacks (that I call home) yearly, I love inviting people up to this place and sharing my favorite secret spots.
my average wedding investment doubled, I scaled back to 15 weddings and found time and energy for my family.
“I knew it was going to be a beautiful setting, but was also hoping the experience would be meaningful and creative.
It turned out to be so much more!
It was so inspiring, stimulating and eye-opening in many ways. The space and the flow you have created for the photographers to be and practice their craft was very inviting and organic. There were plenty of opportunities for hands-on and also great talking sessions that I have found to be very valuable. Thank you!

” Before the workshop I felt burnt out and lacked confidence. After I had confidence to pursue my business in a more meaningful direction. I went home and booked a wedding with my ideal client!
Through Mary’s attention to detail and thoughtful aesthetic, you feel like you’re in the middle of a real intimate wedding.”

“Being in the wedding photography world can feel like an uphill battle that you are facing alone most days. This workshop gave me an opportunity to connect and meet other creatives and photographers that I could share ideas and dreams with. Not only was the workshop well thought out and beautifully designed but it was so much more than that. We had the space to be creative while also learning from Mary and each other.”
– Julia Rebecca
“I had an amazing one of a kind photography experience in the ADK.
Before I came I was unsure about my future photography business but I left confident and with clear steps of what I need to conquer first.
The conversations were incredibly helpful for me to learn about my target client, my why, marketing because this is what I need help with… but the photo shoots were EPIC!”
