Foxfire Mountain House set the scene for this Catskills winter elopement. In the frozen north of New York this restored venue is tucked away and full of charm. Even better are the food and drinks shared during meaningful weddings and intimate celebrations.
The fireplace roared inside. Dried beech leaves foraged from outside looked at home on the table. A crisp balance of white, cream, gray and gold was a reminder of the weather and an inviting embrace to stay cozy inside.
After exchanging vows outside our couple sat at that cozy table for the most delicious dinner of the year. It was everything you could want in a winter elopement. As a result this setting remains a favorite hidden getaway from the city and a memorable place to return to.
