Boscobel House set the scene for Ashley and Jasons Hudson Valley wedding and allowed them to have an elegant estate wedding. Situated outside of Cold Spring, New York, this historic wedding venue has endless charm. It provided us with enough places to shoot to stay dry on this rainy spring day.

Of course, most people don’t think a rainy wedding day can be so beautiful, just most people don’t think they will fall in love at work.

However, Ashley and Jason met while working at the same company. It took them by surprise. They kept their relationship under wraps and eventually realized this was it. In other words they had something real, and they were not letting go.

Eventually they moved to London together for Jason’s job. A New York wedding brought them stateside to see family. Everyone agreed the Hudson Valley was a perfect location to celebrate their wedding day.

Boscobel Wedding | A Hudson Valley Wedding Venue

It is easy to understand the charm of Boscobel House and Gardens. Not only does it have a home with a gorgeous view of the water, the grounds are vast. It has space for a sailcloth tent for a wedding day. Ashley and Jason invited their guests in to take over the space for a day.

The gardens and apiary shielded us from rain, and we were able to capture a variety of images all on the property. Wedding style tied the greenery together as rubber tree leaf place cards sat at each table. They brought greenery into the tent while it surrounded us outside.

Ashley and Jason have great taste, and their Boscobel Wedding was the best example of that. Each detail was carefully thought through. Incredibly elegant and yet laid back is hard to achieve and they did it.

Ashley’s mom surprised her with the most stunning diamond necklace while getting ready. It’s a wedding gift that will grow in meaning and value, just like the images we captured.

After a first look in the garden, the bridal party gathered for photos and the rain started to clear. We created portraits before the ceremony so that we would have time for the Tea ceremony before heading in to cocktail hour.

Once the wedding ceremony at Boscobel was finished, it was time to have a party. Guests danced the night away, family cheered and the couple enjoyed one of the most memorable days of their lives. Thank you so much for inviting me in to be your photographer, Ashley + Jason!

A classic Cape Cod wedding never goes out of style, especially at the Kittansett Club.

A Chautauqua wedding is stunning no matter the size. Karen and Walker pivoted to host the most amazing micro wedding at this historic American retreat.
