Are engagement photos at your first date location something you would consider? What if you ended up there unexpectedly, like I did with Kim and Greg? We were hoping for a sunny fall day at Oak + Apple Cidery but there was an issue going so we found three great Rochester engagement session locations. One was back where it all started.
Once you make it to the point of planning for engagement photos, your first date seems miles away and also immediately relevant. If it wasn’t for that beginning you wouldn’t be where you are now. For Kim + Greg we captured a piece of that beginning and stopped at the Revelry for quick drinks and reminisced on what it was like when they first met.
I love those first date stories and hearing about the serendipity of moving away, being close, randomly being introduced and falling in love. It gives me hope – just knowing that people can fall in love is kind of amazing (have I lost you?)
Clearly, the first stop was the Eastman House which is always stunning, then we found a building with the perfect color palette – which was conveniently out of the wind. The best part of the shoot? Obviously spending time with Kim and Greg, who trusted me completely and for that I am grateful. I can’t wait to photograph their wedding day and join me on instagram to follow my work daily.
If you want to be present at your wedding, have fun with your guests + look back on images that tell your story you are in the right place. ask how you can get a complimentary hour of coverage.
